The Maximum XO-64 is a Universal Quad Monoblock LNB designed for simultaneous reception from two satellite positions separated by approximately 6°. It can be used for Hotbird 13°E and Astra 19.2°E or for the Nordic combination of Thor 0.8°W/1°W and Astra 4.8°E, formerly commonly known as Sirius.
The LNB combines two feedhorns, an integrated DiSEqC 1.0 switch and four independent outputs in one unit. It can therefore supply up to four single-tuner satellite receivers or, for example, two Twin Tuner receivers.
Each connected tuner can independently select its satellite position, polarisation and frequency band. Users can watch different channels and satellites simultaneously, provided that every tuner is connected to its own LNB output.
Its specified 0.1 dB noise figure, Universal LNB operation and wide operating temperature range make the Maximum XO-64 a practical solution for homes and multi-user systems requiring two satellites from one dish.

🛰️ Satellite Combinations and DiSEqC
| Satellite combination | DiSEqC A | DiSEqC B |
|---|
| Hotbird + Astra | Hotbird 13°E | Astra 19.2°E |
| Thor + Astra 4.8°E | Thor 0.8°W/1°W | Astra 4.8°E, formerly Sirius |
For the Thor/Astra combination, the positions are sometimes rounded to 1°W and 5°E.
The reference to “DiSEqC B 5°W” in older technical information appears to be a typographical error. For a 6° combination with Thor 1°W, the intended position is Astra 4.8°E/5°E, not 5°W.
Always check the markings on the supplied product and verify the port order through the receiver’s signal menu.
🔧 Connection and Operation
Connect each receiver or tuner by its own coaxial cable to one of the LNB’s four F-outputs.
Recommended receiver settings:
LNB type: Universal
Low-band LO: 9750 MHz
High-band LO: 10600 MHz
Satellite switching: DiSEqC 1.0
Low band: 0 kHz
High band: 22 kHz
Vertical polarisation: 13V
Horizontal polarisation: 18V
For Hotbird and Astra, normally use:
DiSEqC A: Hotbird 13°E
DiSEqC B: Astra 19.2°E
For Thor and Astra 4.8°E, normally use:
DiSEqC A: Thor 0.8°W/1°W
DiSEqC B: Astra 4.8°E
A Twin Tuner receiver normally requires two separate cables and two LNB outputs for fully independent viewing and recording.
📡 Capacity
| Installation | Capacity |
|---|
| Single-tuner receivers | Up to 4 receivers |
| Twin Tuner receivers | Up to 2 receivers |
| One Twin Tuner receiver | Normally uses 2 outputs |
| Satellite positions | 2 |
| Independent outputs | 4 |
Capacity should be calculated by the number of tuners. Each tuner requires its own output and coaxial cable for fully independent operation.
