The Spaun SMS 5607+ NF is a high-quality multiswitch for distributing one satellite position to as many as six separate satellite receivers or tuners. It is suitable for systems receiving Astra, Hotbird, Thor or another selected satellite position.
The multiswitch has four satellite inputs, one terrestrial input and six independent receiver outputs. Every connected receiver can select its own channel, polarisation and frequency band without affecting the other users.
Thanks to its built-in 22 kHz generator, the SMS 5607+ NF can be used with both Quattro and Quad LNBs. Its integrated short-circuit-protected switched-mode power supply powers the multiswitch and the connected LNB.
The energy-saving standby circuit automatically switches off the SAT-IF amplifier and LNB power supply when no receiver is active. Standby power consumption is below 1W.
Developed and manufactured in Germany, this multiswitch is suitable for installations requiring reliable operation, high signal levels and low energy consumption.

🔧 Connection and Operation
Connect the four satellite outputs from a Quattro LNB to the corresponding multiswitch inputs:
| Input | Signal level |
|---|
| VL | Vertical polarisation, low band |
| HL | Horizontal polarisation, low band |
| VH | Vertical polarisation, high band |
| HH | Horizontal polarisation, high band |
When using a compatible Quad LNB, connect all four LNB outputs to the satellite inputs. The integrated 22 kHz generator manages band selection.
A conventional terrestrial antenna can be connected to the terrestrial input. Satellite and terrestrial signals are then distributed through the same coaxial cables and can be separated at the receiver location using a suitable TV/SAT outlet.
Connect receivers or tuners to outputs 1–6. A twin-tuner receiver normally requires two separate cables and uses two outputs.
📡 Capacity and Connections
| Connection | Quantity |
|---|
| Satellite positions | 1 |
| Satellite inputs | 4 |
| Terrestrial inputs | 1 |
| Total inputs | 5 |
| Receiver outputs | 6 |
| Single-tuner receivers | Up to 6 |
| Twin-tuner receivers | Up to 3 when using two cables per receiver |
📺 Terrestrial Input
The terrestrial input combines a terrestrial antenna signal with the satellite signal. Satellite and terrestrial television can therefore be distributed through the same coaxial cable.
A suitable TV/SAT wall outlet or separation filter is normally required at the receiver location.

🌱 Energy-Saving Standby Function
When all receivers are switched off and no longer supply control voltage to the multiswitch, the unit automatically enters standby mode.
The SAT-IF amplifier and LNB power supply are reactivated when at least one receiver is switched on. This reduces energy consumption and unnecessary stress on system components.
