The Triax TVQ 04 Virtual Quattro is an optical converter for fibre-based satellite distribution systems. It receives a compatible optical satellite signal and converts it into four separate Quattro signals for connection to a multiswitch.
The four outputs provide the fixed satellite levels for vertical low band, horizontal low band, vertical high band and horizontal high band. The unit can therefore be connected to a conventional Quattro multiswitch, creating an interface between an optical distribution network and a traditional coaxial satellite system.
Fibre transmission is particularly useful in larger buildings and installations with long cable distances. The optical signal can be transported with low signal loss and converted back to SAT-IF close to the multiswitch.
Please note: The TVQ 04 is not an LNB and must not be installed directly on a satellite dish.

🔧 Connection and Operation
The incoming optical satellite signal is connected to the optical input. The TVQ 04 then converts the signal into four fixed satellite levels.
The four coaxial outputs are connected to the corresponding inputs on a Quattro multiswitch:
