The Kathrein CAS 09 is a premium 90 cm offset satellite dish designed for users who require stable reception, long service life and a carefully engineered installation system. Its large reflector and excellent reception characteristics provide a generous signal margin, helping maintain reliable television reception during rain and other demanding weather conditions.
The reflector is manufactured from powder-coated aluminium, while the support arm and mounting system use strong, corrosion-resistant materials. Screws, rivets, washers and U-bolts are manufactured from stainless steel or die-cast zinc for long-term outdoor installation.
The antenna is largely preassembled and features a convenient keyhole reflector mounting system, large wing nuts and elevation scales on both sides. These features simplify installation and make precise alignment easier.
An alternative multifeed adapter plate is included. It allows two suitable feed systems to be installed for receiving satellites approximately 3–4° or 6° apart, such as Astra 19.2° East with Astra 23.5° East or Astra with Eutelsat Hot Bird.
The Kathrein CAS 09 is available in white, graphite grey or red-brown, allowing the antenna to complement the building, roof and surrounding installation environment.
The LNB and LNB holder are not included and must be purchased separately.

📡 Multifeed Reception
The included alternative multifeed adapter plate supports two compatible feed systems for satellites with the following approximate orbital spacing:
- 3–4° spacing, such as Astra 19.2°/23.5°
- 6° spacing, such as Astra 19.2°/Eutelsat Hot Bird 13°
The adapter plate offers an adjustment range of approximately ±20°. Other satellite combinations may require the separately available Kathrein ZAS 90 multifeed adapter plate.
Exact compatibility depends on the installation location, required satellite positions and the selected feed systems or LNB units.
🔧 Installation
The Kathrein CAS 09 is supplied largely preassembled. Its keyhole reflector mounting points and large wing nuts simplify assembly and help make installation more efficient.
The antenna can be installed on a stable mast or compatible wall bracket. The mast diameter must be within the specified clamp range of 48–90 mm.
After installation, the antenna is carefully aligned in azimuth and elevation towards the required satellite. Elevation scales are provided on both sides of the mounting system.
Use a satellite signal meter for accurate final alignment. The mast, wall bracket and fixings must be rated for the antenna’s weight and specified wind load.
Professional installation is recommended for optimum reception and safety.
