The Johansson 9645KIT Stacker–Destacker is designed for installations that need two independent satellite signals but have only one coaxial cable between the dish and the receiver location. It allows you to connect two satellite receivers or a receiver with two tuner inputs without running a second cable.
The system consists of two units. The Stacker combines two incoming signals onto one coaxial cable. At the receiver end, the Destacker separates them again into two individual outputs.
This makes the kit especially useful when upgrading an existing satellite installation to a twin-tuner receiver, for example to watch one channel while recording another. It can be used with a Twin LNB and in suitable systems with a Quad LNB or multiswitch.
The units are normally powered by the satellite receiver, so a separate power adapter is usually unnecessary. The cable and connectors between the units must be suitable for frequencies up to 3550 MHz.
✅ Product Benefits
- Carries two independent satellite signals over one existing coaxial cable
- Supports two receivers or one twin-tuner receiver
- Avoids the work of installing a second cable
- Suitable for upgrading existing satellite systems
- Works with a Twin LNB
- Can be used in suitable Quad LNB and DiSEqC installations
- Can carry terrestrial frequencies on the designated signal path
- Normally powered by the satellite receiver
- Optional external power supply available if more LNB current is needed
🎯 Ideal For
- Homes with one existing satellite cable
- Receivers with two satellite tuner inputs
- Two separate satellite receivers at one location
- Upgrades to a recording satellite receiver
- Installations where running a second cable is difficult
- Existing Twin LNB installations
- Suitable Quad LNB or multiswitch systems
🔧 Connection and Operation
Connect two independent satellite signals to the Stacker’s two inputs. A single coaxial cable then runs from the Stacker to the Destacker. At the receiver location, the Destacker provides two separate outputs for two receivers or the two inputs of a twin-tuner receiver.
Install the Stacker close to the LNB or the point where both signals are available. The cable between the units must support the extended frequency range. Ordinary wall outlets and splitters must not be installed between the Stacker and Destacker.
The exact DiSEqC connection depends on the LNB, switches and other components in the satellite system.
📡 Capacity and Connections
| Connection or function | Quantity |
|---|
| Stacker inputs | 2 |
| Stacker outputs | 1 |
| Coaxial cables between units | 1 |
| Destacker inputs | 1 |
| Destacker outputs | 2 |
| Separate receivers | Up to 2 |

📺 Terrestrial Signal
One signal path also covers lower frequencies and can carry a terrestrial signal alongside the satellite signal. Suitable components are required to combine and separate the signals where needed.
