The Jäger HARL 3612+ is a 12-inch actuator for motorising a prime focus satellite dish up to 120 cm. With a separate positioner, the dish can move between satellite positions without manual adjustment.
The actuator mounts to the dish’s motor assembly. As the motor arm extends or retracts, it turns the dish. Its built-in reed sensor sends position pulses to the positioner, which tracks movement and returns the dish to stored positions.
The model has a 36 V DC motor, limit switches and a nominal 12-inch stroke, equivalent to approximately 30.5 cm. It suits both a new motorised installation and replacement of an existing actuator when the mounts and positioner are compatible.

🔧 Connection and Operation
Mount the actuator between the fixed and moving points of the satellite dish assembly. Connect the motor and reed-sensor wires to a compatible external positioner. The positioner powers the motor and counts sensor pulses to track the dish position.
After installation, set the movement range and end limits. Make sure the dish moves freely without the actuator or dish reaching a mechanical stop.
A separate positioner is required for operation.

With a compatible positioner, the actuator can move a prime focus dish between stored satellite positions. The usable range depends on the dish location, polar mount, installation geometry and correctly set limits.
