Distribute TV signals through existing CAT5e or CAT6 cabling with the Catline TVB-02U. The amplifier receives an antenna signal through coaxial cable, amplifies it and adapts it for transmission through data cabling. It is a practical solution for buildings with installed network cables but no separate antenna distribution system.
The amplifier has one antenna input and four RJ45 outputs, allowing distribution to up to four connection points. Each output connects to a dedicated cable run, for example through a patch panel to a room’s wall outlet.
Each output features individual level adjustment to suit its cable length. With up to 35 dB amplification and an adjustable equaliser, the signal can be adapted to the installation.
At the TV connection point, a Catline TVB-01 balun converts the signal back to an antenna connection. The specified range is approximately 50–60 metres, depending on cabling and signal levels. The amplifier supports wall mounting or installation in 10-inch and 19-inch panels.
✅ Product Benefits
- Distributes TV signals over CAT5e or CAT6.
- Uses existing data cabling for TV distribution.
- Four RJ45 outputs for up to four connection points.
- Individual level adjustment for each output.
- Maximum amplification of 35 dB.
- Adjustable 0–18 dB equaliser.
- Specified range of approximately 50–60 metres.
- Wall mounting or installation in 10-inch and 19-inch panels.
- Power supply and three RJ45 termination plugs included.
🎯 Ideal For
- Buildings with data cabling but no separate antenna cable system.
- TV distribution to several rooms through a patch panel.
- Installations with different cable lengths.
- Renovations using existing CAT cabling.
- Analogue or digital TV distribution within the specified frequency range.
🔧 Connection and Operation
Connect the incoming antenna signal to the RF input using coaxial cable with an F connector.
Connect the amplifier’s RJ45 outputs to the cable runs used for TV distribution. When using a patch panel, connect each output to the port leading to the required room.
Install a TVB-01 balun at each TV connection point to convert the signal back for connection to the TV or receiver. Adjust output levels to suit each cable run and use the test port for signal measurements.
The TV signal travels directly through the CAT cabling. It must not pass through a standard Ethernet switch or router.

📺 Signal and Adjustment
The amplifier operates within 47–862 MHz and is designed to distribute analogue or digital TV signals over CAT cable.
Maximum amplification is 35 dB. The 0–20 dB attenuation control adjusts signal levels, while the 0–18 dB equaliser allows compensation for frequency-dependent cable loss.
The specified output level is 96 dBµV with 42 channels according to CENELEC. Cable quality, connectors and the incoming signal affect the usable transmission distance.
