SMA Male to Female Antenna Extension Cable – RG174 / LMR200, 1–15 m

Position your antenna where it works best with an SMA male to SMA female extension cable. The cable extends the connection between an external antenna and compatible equipment, giving you greater freedom to position the antenna and your router, modem or other RF equipment.

The cable’s SMA female connector connects to the antenna cable’s SMA male connector, while its SMA male connector connects to the equipment’s SMA female port. Pre-fitted straight connectors make installation straightforward and provide threaded connections at both ends.

Choose 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 or 15 metres. The shorter 1–3 metre versions use RG174 cable with an approximate outer diameter of 2.2 mm, suitable when a thin cable is needed for a short extension. The 5, 10 and 15 metre versions use LMR200 cable with an approximate outer diameter of 4.9 mm.

The cable features 50 Ω impedance, a copper conductor and gold-plated connectors. The plating contributes to corrosion resistance at the contact surfaces, while the threaded connections keep the cable securely attached.

Choose the length to match your actual cable route. A suitable extension makes positioning more convenient, but additional cable also introduces signal loss. Select the shortest length that reaches your intended location.

🔧 Connection and use

Measure the cable route and select the required length. Allow space for gentle bends and connection to the equipment.

Connect the antenna’s or existing cable’s SMA male connector to the extension cable’s SMA female connector. Then screw the extension cable’s SMA male connector onto the equipment’s SMA female port.

Check that the connections use standard SMA. Installations with several separate antenna connections, such as MIMO, require a separate extension cable for each antenna feed.

Avoid sharp bends and prevent the cable’s weight from pulling on the connectors. Exposed connections need protection against moisture, and the cable’s suitability for the environment should be checked.

Signal attenuation depends on cable type, length and frequency. Check your installation requirements, particularly for longer runs and higher frequencies.
